🐾✨ Love on a Leash: Spreading Joy and Growth Through Furry Friends! ✨🐾 Since 2012, the Love on a Leash program has been bringing smiles and growth to our students. With 29 dedicated members and dogs of all breeds and sizes, this incredible team visits schools weekly to make a difference in students' lives. Through these visits, therapy dogs help students improve reading skills, build confidence, and create meaningful connections. Teachers and staff have seen firsthand how these furry companions inspire positive changes in students, both academically and socially. For the handlers, the joy is mutual! Watching the kids interact with their dogs and seeing their progress is incredibly rewarding. And the dogs? 📢 LHUSD’s 1st Annual Math Challenge! ➗✖️➕ Yesterday, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students from all six LHUSD elementary schools came together at Lake Havasu High School to compete in the district’s first-ever Math Challenge—hosted by the LHHS Math Club!🏆📚 With the support of Concord Construction and the K-12 Foundation, students put their math skills to the test in a fun and challenging competition. A huge thank you to Jason Beaver from Concord Construction and even our very own mascot for helping score the tests! Thank you to LHUSD staff who worked to make this happen. 👏🎉 This exciting event brought young mathematicians together, encouraged problem-solving, and sparked a love for numbers!
